Gran Blend
Varietal: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Petit Verdot.
Vineyard location: Gualtallary, Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Mendoza (Cabernet Sauvignon). Vista Flores, Tunuyán, Valle de Uco, Mendoza (Petit Verdot).
Vineyard age: planted in 1993.
Altitude: 950 meters above sea level.
Soil: calcareous.
Yield per hectare: 5,500 kg/ha.
Harvest: manual.
WINEMAKING
Pre-fermentation maceration: 2 days at 8°C.
Fermentation temperature: 14 days at controlled temperature.
Maceration: 4 days with daily pump-overs.
Aging: 12 months in American oak barrels. Bottle aging for 6 months at controlled temperature.
TASTING NOTES
Intense and dark ruby red in color. With an elegant and complex aroma, featuring notes of red fruits such as cherry and blackcurrant, along with a very characteristic bell pepper note. Complemented by herbal hints of eucalyptus. On the palate, it is a wine that stands out for its great structure and personality, with firm tannins complemented by notes of vanilla and caramel. It has good length and persistence on the palate. A remarkable wine that exemplifies the Terroir of Valle de Uco.
